Character Origins

The system of "character origins" does not fit in well with our anthropomorphic world, so I decided to bring some changes to that.

 

All Heroes can attain more than 1 point of Will.

Rather than choosing an Origin, each Hero can choose :

A +1 bonus to a proficiency test for one [Skill].  Make three rolls on the Skills Table (p.24) and choose one.  If the same result is acquired twice, do not reroll.  If it is acquired three times, there is no choice, but gain a +2 bonus.

One Trait of their choice from amongst the following list :

-  Foresight (p.16)

-  Aura of Winter (p.16)

 - Brute Charge (p.17)

-  Oath of Life (p.17)

-  Outburst (p.17)

-  Swift-footed (p.18)

-  Lucky Shot (p.18)

-  Slip Away (p.18)

-  Hunting Instincts (p.19)

-  Loping Run (p.19)

 

A Hero may also take a second Trait from the list above, but if s/he does so, must also take a Negative Trait from the following list :

-  Cursed (p.16)

-  Distrust (p.17)

-  Outburst (p.17)

-  Slight (p.18)

-  Lacking Strength (p.18)

-  Alien (p.19)

Outburst can be considered either a Trait or a Negative Trait (but not both).

 

A Hero can choose any Background.
