"Tell me about your mother."

The birth of a white lion is the birth of a magician.  It is always portentious, accompanied by omens that determine the child's mystical orientation.  When Shoxess slipped from her mother's loins, with as little resistance as if she was the last-born, the illness that had haunted her village for the past moon vanished overnight, as if borne away by the cleansing wind that set to blow.  From that moment, Shoxess was destined to become a healer (although she has always said, she would have liked to blast some lightning about).

Her healing arts are strong indeed, and are not only those of the body, but also those of the mind.  Shoxess has gone beyond the traditional arts she has been taught, to realise that words themselves can heal, when spoken by those who mind is afflicted to one with the patience to listen and the power to understand.
