If it is a merry, lilting drinking song you are after, go on your way, there are taverns for that down at the waterfront.  If what you are longing for is the modulating, melancholic, fateful howl of a wolven bard, you have come to the right person.  During his prior life, it was considered a very great honour for a songwriter, to have Meruvis sing his lays and epics.  

Not just once, but on three separate occasions, Meruvis filled the entire amphitheatre of Tallis whilst singing for the Festival of the Blood Moon.  Those who tell of it even know feel their hackles rising, so haunting was it.

His voice is turned to other things now : around the campfire, it reminds his companions of their loss, yet soothes the bitterness of it in the doing.  On the battlefield, it strikes courage into ailing hearts, and dread into those of the enemy.  Meruvis has not yet sung his final song !
