Combat Support
A hero that can claim combat support from a friendly figure may :
- add +2 to his die roll, as per the standard rules or
- subtract -2 from the enemy's die roll
A different choice can be made for each supporting figure.
This house rule has various uses :
- The enemy always target the hero with lower health, not the best fighter. In such a case, the supporting hero can protect the targetted hero, whilst waiting for his own turn to fight
- In situations where the hero is far superior to the enemy, using support to reduce the enemy's score makes combat less swingy. This is especially the case when the hero has good armour
- In situations where the enemy is a superior fighter, or the target hero weakened by health loss, the option is more tactical : try to finish the enemy off quickly ? or bide time and wait for the ideal moment ?
