It is becoming obvious that certain of the enormous creatures that thrive in the Jungle Deep, can be controlled by the evil that lurks within.  The flying monstrousities known to the learned as Pteranodons (meaning "Toothless Flyer"), are among them.  Like all their brethren, the youngsters have very tough skin but are not immune to an arrow.  Nonetheless, they are fast flyers and very hard to hit, making them efficient observers.  A few have been seen outside of the Jungle Deep, apparently probing Lorenthian defenses.
