This map will evolve over time, as we discover the wonders of RoSD...

Since the fall of Lorenthia, Alladore is the last of the great Kingdoms of the East.

The capital city of Alladore is the fortress-city of Tallis, nestled in gently rolling hills roughly in the centre of the kingdom. Further east, towards the Lorenthian border, the land becomes rockier, more suited to the grazing of sheep and goats than the raising of crops and cattle.

Following the ancient road from Tallis to Lorenthia, this rocky plain runs into a low mountain range, whose chains create a set of isolated valleys.  The road turns south, through the tangle known as The Scree, then crosses the Enthul River which rises in Lorenthia, a few days march to the north.  Across its valley are strung the Border Tors, that fell into disuse during the long peace with Lorenthia, but have been manned again before the threat of the Jungle Deep.

Tallis stands astride the Great Trade Road, which reaches Alladore via the numerous and ever-shifting Tollonian Principalities, bringing strange and arcane things from legendary places far away.  The road turns south at Tallis, taking its goods to the Lake People, who in happier times then brought them by sea to Lorenthia and beyond.

Alladore boasts two other cities, both are which are centres of artistry.  Erenthean stands guard over the Tollonian Principalities.  As for Portrerik, it lies on the coast, upon the estuary of the mighty Nylen River, and provides Alladore with its only access to the sea.  Portrerik also lays on the threshold of the Great Forest of Nar, whose true extent remains unknown to map-makers and explorers.  In any case, it provides a welfare to the dwellers of the southern plains of Alladore, who live from hunting, trapping and logging.

The northern border of Alladore is a vast desert waste, overlooked by rocky hills whose mining settlements provide the iron, tin and copper that are the source of Alladore's prosperity.  They are also dotted with places of learning, monasteries and convents.  If both Tallis and Erenthean are home to universities, neither are renowned for their magical studies, which are more prevalent in the calm north.
